Is it just me or did the Fox News panel seem quick to jump on the Big Democrat Wave theme shortly after the east coast polls began to close?  Bill Crystal was predicting possible democrat house wins in the 30 seat range.  I am willing to accept a narrow loss of the house as highly likely (if not a certainty) but my God.  Fox later said they were largely ignoring the outrageously inaccurate exit polls but it is obvious that their opinions and expectations were skewed.  As I listen to the ever-optimistic Hewitt struggle to maintain his positive outlook in the face of what has been an uninterrupted night of bad news, I am heartened by an undeniable belief that we may lose, but we are right.  If this is the best the other party can manage with an opportunity that is this ripe for a Newt style total sweep, the Democrats have a lot more to be worried about than we do.
